Token Frenzy is a multi-player 3D vehicle driving puzzle-strategy-racing game aimed at the casual gamer market. It has 5 randomly created levels, each progressively more difficult than the previous.
The game requires the player to drive a vehicle and locate specific tokens on the roadway within a specified time limit. It's a kind of search and locate, requiring good memory to play the game effectively and get good scores. In fact you need to obtain a certain level of efficiency in each level before you can move on to the next. But there's also a few nasty tokens you want to avoid and each level has a faster car requiring faster thinking abilities and reactions. Driving is fun, the car stays on the road by itself allowing anyone to play the game with ease, you just tell it where to turn and brake.
There are 4 difficulty settings including a custom setting which allows you to set various penalty values and time limits etc. It even comes with synchronized traffic lights.
The game is also multi player capable and has been designed to allow other people to join your game at any time, providing you have an Internet connection.
Mulit-player mode is really fun. Every time you score, all the other players blow-up and the game quickly starts to resemble a racing game with all players trying to get to the token first.
Player Feedback
I wanted to steer the car all the time but later realized that it does have a mind of it's own and I only have to tell him which way to go on the next intersection.
I must admit I enjoy this game. I like the concept of playing memory with cars and street signs. I must also say that I'm very impressed with some of the technical aspects of the game like the vehicle preview and the vehicle AI.
